End of year school play - Afternoon program
Official Inauguration
June 17, 2009 - Concert featuring a special performance by Alkistis Protopsalti and Stefanos Korkolis, on the occasion of the successful completion of the Greek School of Bucharest's first academic year 2008-'09.

The concert will take place at the National Theater in Bucharest on Wednesday, June 17th, starting at 19:30. Invitations may be obtained via donations to the school by directly contacting Maria Mastoraki, Executive Assistant, at +4021.326.0633 or office-gpa@greekschool.ro.

Alkistis Protopsalti is one of Greece's most respected and famous singers, active for more than 30 years, winner of several Platinum music awards, who has toured in concerts across USA, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Stefanos Korkolis is one of Europe's most famous composers and pianists who performed with Jose Carreras, Vicky Leandros, Marinela. He is also the composer of the anthem for Special Olympics, and will accompany Ms. Protopsalti for the performance in Bucharest.
Greek National Day Celebration

On the occasion of the Greek National Day Celebration, the Greek School of Bucharest "Athena" organized on March 24th, 2009, a special event at Tandarica Theater, celebrating the Greek history and traditions. The pupils of the Greek School of Bucharest, accompanied by the children of the Greek Community of Tulcea, performed traditional Greek dances and songs, and recited poems, enchanting the audience.
Inauguration event

On the first opening day, September 15th 2008, a special inauguration ceremony was held at the school, and included a blessing of the premises by a priest from the Orthodox Church.
